It is resistant to lime and other alkaline and acidic substances, which prevents it from rotting. Rope has long been used by humans as a tool for packaging, transporting goods, and various other applications.
Plastic rope has wide applications in packaging goods, household uses, securing tents, oil industry, fisheries and aquaculture, gas and petrochemical industries, well drilling, construction and military projects, transportation, net weaving (such as fishing nets and football goal nets), marine industries, and shipping.
Today, due to their higher quality and greater variety, plastic ropes are used extensively and have largely replaced ropes made from natural fibers. Below is a brief overview of the advantages of using this product:

- It weighs less than half the weight of sisal and cotton ropes.
- It has a uniform thickness and is highly durable at knot points.
- It can be stored in any weather condition.
- Depending on the need, floating (lighter than water) or sinking (heavier than water) ropes can be produced.
- It does not cause hand injuries during handling.
Plastic ropes, or nylon ropes, are made from synthetic fibers known as polyethylene and polypropylene.
The raw materials used in rope production come in two types. Grade 1 materials are purchased from petrochemical companies, while grade 1.5 materials are sourced from recycled plastic and nylon.
The diameter of plastic ropes starts from 2 mm and goes up to 30 mm. As the diameter increases, the weight per meter also increases, and the number of strands used in production increases exponentially.
Plastic ropes are usually packaged in 35 to 40 kg sacks. Each sack contains between two to six coils of rope, depending on the product size. The smaller the rope diameter, the higher the number of coils per sack.
Plastic ropes ranging from 3 mm to 8 mm are referred to as packaging ropes. Plastic rope is sold by weight (kilogram).
